Enter the room and see all that you have ever learnt
about gravity turned on its head. Can a ball roll
uphill? Will water really flow uphill? Ideal for
anyone not called Isaac!
This illusion, known as an immersive environment
optical illusion, challenges the most fundamental
restraints of the optical system. Side effects experienced
by visitors can include disorientation and in some
cases slight nausea resulting from the conflict
between what you rationally know is happening and
what your eyes perceive to be happening.
The idea behind the anti-gravity room is simple
and yet the effects on visitors to it are incredible,
giving rise to amazement, disbelief and the invention
of imaginative and tenuous theories about how the
illusion works.
